Sizing

Every listing gives the size on the tag. Clothing and jewelry also get real measurements, taken by hand. When a listing and this page disagree, trust the listing.

The fit line

When a listing says how something fits, it's on me: 6'4", 200 lb, 17½" neck, US 12 to 13 shoe.

Sneakers

Listings are in US men's sizes. Women's and kids' pairs say so in the title. Nike and Jordan run as below. adidas and Yeezy convert about half a UK size differently, so check the tag size in the listing.

US men UK EU Foot length
9 8 42.5 27 cm
9.5 8.5 43 27.5 cm
10 9 44 28 cm
10.5 9.5 44.5 28.5 cm
11 10 45 29 cm
11.5 10.5 45.5 29.5 cm
12 11 46 30 cm
12.5 11.5 47 30.5 cm
13 12 47.5 31 cm
14 13 48.5 32 cm
15 14 49.5 33 cm

Clothing

Tees and tops are measured laid flat, in inches. Pit to pit runs across the chest from one armpit seam to the other. Length runs from the top of the collar at the back to the hem. Vintage tagged sizes run smaller than today's, so compare the measurements to a shirt you own rather than trusting the tag.

Rings

Listings give the US ring size. Inside diameter for reference:

US size Inside diameter
8 18.1 mm
9 18.9 mm
10 19.8 mm
11 20.6 mm
12 21.4 mm
13 22.2 mm

Chains

Where a chain sits depends on your neck and build. On a 17½" neck, roughly:

  • 20": just below the collarbone
  • 22": a few inches below the collarbone
  • 24": upper to mid chest
  • 26" and longer: mid chest and lower

Watches

Listings give the case diameter, the lug-to-lug length, and the wrist size the bracelet fits right now, plus any extra links that come with it.
